Join the Mary Ann Key Book Club for an exclusive evening featuring Anthony Ray Hinton, author of The Sun Does Shine. He was falsely imprisoned for 30 years. The author will be joined in conversation by Star Tribune columnist and book club partner Myron Medcalf. The conversation will conclude with a Q&A session with participants and a book signing with the author. Pre register for limited seating or get streaming details here.

Align Minneapolis 2024 Furniture+ Drive

Items accepted must be in good repair and are subject to approval by the accepting organization. This is a collaboration with the St. Vincent de Paul thrift store which provides vouchers for community members to shop at their store.

  • Clothing

  • Housewares: home décor, kitchenware, lamps

  • Furniture: couches, tables, futons, chairs, love seats, recliners, bookcases, dressers

  • NO electronics, appliances, large office desks, beds or construction items. These items WILL NOT be accepted.

Join columnist Myron Medcalf, moderator JaNaé Bates, and community panelists Marvin Haynes, Moseka Nhya and Kevin Reese in a discussion of Anthony Ray Hinton’s “The Sun Does Shine.”  Pre register for limited seating here. Building owners and caretakers will provide unique perspectives that illustrate why these venues, people and businesses, are central to our city’s identity.
