Bethel Seminary

As a world-class seminary with locations in St. Paul, San Diego, and the Eastern Seaboard, as well as a model distance learning program, Bethel Seminary offers nine master of arts degrees, a master of divinity degree, a doctor of ministry degree, five graduate-level certificates, and a post-graduate certificate.

Bethel Seminary and First Covenant Church are partnering to make the pursuit of a seminary education easier and more affordable. Staff and members of First Covenant Church are eligible for a scholarship set annually at approximately 30% of the price of 8 credits of tuition. To be eligible, enrollment must be maintained at two 4-credit courses per quarter. In addition, applicants may qualify for a need-based Bethel grant. BROTHERHOOD INC.

Brotherhood Inc. is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that seeks to uplift and empower young African American males, ages 16-24, who are involved in gangs, have had contact with the juvenile or adult criminal justice system, or are at risk of such involvement. Brotherhood Inc. offers a comprehensive reintegration and prevention program through comprehensive, culturally sensitive social services, educational opportunities, and on-site employment. Through Brotherhood Brew, participants gain steady employment opportunities as the business provides comprehensive coffee services to businesses, nonprofits, government offices, educational institutions, and individuals in Minneapolis/St. Paul and beyond. Participants learn essential job skills such as customer service, marketing, entrepreneurship, and computer programming. Brotherhood Inc. aims to give participants a smoother reintegration into society and a solid foundation for the future.

COMMUNITY EMERGENCY SERVICES

Community Emergency Service (CES) is a non-profit crisis relief and empowerment ministry that extends God's love to those in the inner city of South Minneapolis.  CES began in 1971 when prominent Twin Cities businessman Russell Lund approached Augustana Lutheran Church in Minneapolis, offering to help them enhance their outreach to poor people living in South Minneapolis.  Located in the Phillips (Ventura Village) Neighborhood, CES provides services to over 70,000 people annually.

Downtown Congregations to End Homelessness

The Downtown Congregations to End Homelessness (DCEH) works together to transition from managingto ending homelessness and poverty through advocacy, education, support of Heading Home Hennepin (HHH) and building relationships with the homeless and near homeless, congregations, volunteers, and community organizations.

Students grades 6-12, don’t miss out on an incredible weekend! The Winter Retreat, February 24-26, will be at Adventurous Christians Wilderness Camp on the Gunflint Trail.
