Our Lenten journey this year invites us to follow Jesus en-route or “on the way” to Jerusalem. Like Jesus, our journeys are filled with in-between spaces, thresholds, or “liminal” spaces where we are invited to turn toward that which calls and perhaps frightens us. From the moment Jesus set his face toward Jerusalem, he would face the very real challenges of mortality, suffering, and betrayal, even as he availed himself to the work of Love which would bring about new life. In this season of reflection, we too are invited to turn toward those unknown spaces and places where we are confronted by the limits of our mortality, and where Mystery interrupts, bringing unexpected and unexplainable new life. Join us for this Lenten journey, where we’ll explore the soul-deepening joys and trials of being a people “on the way”.
