Ashley Aamot has been on staff at First Covenant Church since August of 2015.  Ashley graduated from Bethel University with a B.A. in both Spanish and Reconciliation Studies and is now pursuing her Master of Arts degree in Social Transformation from United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities.  Ashley considers herself a lifelong learner. She is a lover of written word and aspires to be the next Anne Lamott.

Ashley has a heart for social justice and is passionate about pursuing a career where “[her] deep gladness and the world’s deep hunger meet” (Frederick Buechner).  A few social activists that inspire her are Jim Wallis, Dorothy Day, Christena Cleveland, Shane Claiborne, Aung San Suu Kyi, Gustavo Gutiérrez, and Oscar Romero.

Ashley enjoys nature and the outdoors, and can often be spotted up north with some close friends and a good book.  She enjoys hiking, camping, and adventuring through the wild.
